In earlier web history, there was only one and first dedicated social network was MySpace which allows every individual user to use MySpace to share their stuffs like photos, videos, and exchange messages within their group or subsequently called as community. When communication (text, ‘net) are shut down by dictators, could there be ways of getting around it? (read on?
After the elections in Iran, one of the first things the government did was to shut down text messaging. Are there ways of getting around these types of shutdowns so that people can use things like text msg. and twitter to communicate what’s going on? Sorry, I shouldn’t call the leader of Iran a dictator, since they did have an election and though there seems to be some doubt as to the election’s validity, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. However, I am against censorship, which this was a clear example of.
If the hard lines are cut, there is nothing that can be done. If the switches and routers have been filtered, there may be a way around it if someone on the other side can spoof the address in order to fool the filters.

If someone has a personal chat program they have written and changes their IP, then yes, because they can move outside of the network masks which limit them and into masks which are operated by corporations and governments. (That’s why the internet was made in the first place.)
As for text messaging, again, that all depends on the hardware. In this case, the service providers more than likely are down and you would have a better chance on sending a packet over the phone-patch if you knew the protocols, but that would be a one way venture since their antenna would not be strong enough to send one back to you.
